We’ll see plenty of Spider-Man-related characters in Sony‘s unique Marvel Universe. With the journey starting with Venom, characters of all styles such as Carnage, Morbius, Kraven, Madame Web will be brought to the screen. Kraven, one of the most iconic characters in comics, will be very interesting to see as a solo film. Looks like the villain we’re going to see in the movie has been revealed. Marvel’s search for actors for Calypso, one of the most powerful voodoo wizards, has begun.
The strongest nominee for the role is Jodie Turner-Smith,who we previously knew from Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse. Calypso, who also crossed paths with Kraven in comic books, gave him both extended his life and gave him extra powers by casting a spell. Of course, they gave him the gift to hunt Spider-Man. Calypso, who also appeared in todd mcfarlane(in the legendary Spider-Man era), had a spell with Peter Parker’s favorite teacher, Curt Connors;
Calypso, who we’ll see for the first time in a Marvel movie with the Kraven movie, will probably come across as the villain behind the scenes. The possible reunion of the MCU and the Sony Universe with Kraven could also make us see Calypso as a great Spider-Man villain. Finally, there’s a potential villain on the horizon that doesn’t have a Tony Stark connection, so let’s see if Disney seizes the opportunity.
