Tha next-door character is transformed into a main character (or antiquities) by sticking to its current identity
The Story of Two Brothers
when we first met Yone, is the brother of Yasuo and that he had been killed by him And that’s almost everything we’ve known for the past seven years. An excerpt from the worst moment in the life of Yone(and Yasuo).
A few questions we had to answer before we could bring back to life
“The last time we saw Yone, he was thought to be dead,” says Michael “Riot Pls” Yichao, author of
The last time we saw Yone&.” “At first I tried to move forward on the possibility that Yone wasn’t dead, but I didn’t feel like it. I wouldn’t have been able to give yone or even, to a greater extent, Yasuo. I wanted to make sure that I moved their story forward without completely rewriting the story of these two brothers and trivializing what they were going through.
Yone and Yasuo have a long-complicated relationship. They have a history of brotherly betrayal and murder, where they grew up and trained together under the same master. Which means it’s inevitable that there will be similarities between them.
“At first I wanted Yone to be a character with a very similar gameplay to Yasuo. This may sound crazy, but we were trying to reduce yasuo’s play rate. But it’s actually a good thing for LoL,” says champion designer Jonathan “EndlessPillows” Fuller. “Yasuo is the champion with the highest play rate in LoL. Offering Yasuo players a different alternative with similar gameplay will increase the diversity of champions and make each game feel a little different.”
Thankingly, this approach has not been very successful. It is almost impossible to design a champion who can do what sets Yasuo apart from other champions without turning it directly into a Yasuo 2.0 EndlessPillows tried nonstop, but found it impossible to make a better Yasuo than Yasuo.
This is where the team realized that Yone. had to be a different character. What’s more, they realized that from his brother had to stop at some point.
Riot Earp tried to draw Yone in different ways before he died (the only version we know of to date). But they all looked a lot like Yasuo and . That’s why the team began to think about whether Yone at LoL should indeed be the same as we saw LoR.
When Two Is Half One
“Yone’s two different swords gave us a lot of options in terms of design,” says Riot Earp. “The Azakana sword is really eye-catching visually and unlike any other weapon in LoL. The wind sword is the one he used before he died. The contrast between the two excited me and the rest of the team. Of course, it also paved the way for unique gameplay designs.”
Detailed information about Yone’s two swords and abilities
Pasif – Hunter’s Way
Yone uses two swords. Every second attack he makes does more magic damage. The probability of critical hits also doubles, but their critical hit does less damage.
Q – Deadly Steel
Yone attacks forward, inflicting physical damage on opponents. When Yone reaches two payloads, he is pushed forward by a wind wave that blows opponents into the air.
W – Typhoon
Yone swings his sword with a wide curve, inflicting damage equivalent to a certain part of the maximum life of the target. If the skill hits an opponent, Yone gets a temporary shield. The shield is strengthened per champion who is hit by skill.
E – Free Spirit
by entering
Yone Mood, it gains speed of movement and leaves its body behind. When Yone’s Mood expires, the champion quickly returns to his body, causing damage equivalent to a certain percentage of all the damage he did while in The Mood.
R – Sealed Destiny
Yone attacks all the opponents on his way, appears behind the last target and pushes everyone into the air towards him
