Last month, we shared with you that Yoshimi Yasuda, the CEO of Kadokawa Games, the publisher of Lollipop Chainsaw, left Kadokawa and established a new studio called Dragami Games, and that the first game of this studio would be a Lollipop Chainsaw game, and we even reported that this game was likely to be a remake. It happened as expected; Lollipop Chainsaw Remake has been officially announced.
In the announcement shared by Yasuda on his Twitter account, it is stated that they have started to work on Lollipop Chainsaw Remake and aim to release this game next year. Although it is the main goal to present the original game to the taste of game lovers in its renewed form, it is also underlined that a few changes have been made. While aiming for a game that uses the power of next-generation hardware and offers more impressive graphics (the description mentions that a more realistic graphic style is adopted), the game’s music has also been renewed. Yasuda added that they do not have the opportunity to use all 15 pieces in the main game, so new pieces are also included.
Although the platforms where the game will be released are not yet clear, the target for the release date is set as 2023, let’s see if they can meet this target and what kind of game will come across.
