Seeing some characters who have gone down in the history of cinema with different faces can cause a heartburn. Especially for series with a fan base such as Star Wars, this burning suddenly comes to the level of throwing flames like a dragon. Trying to make a new face for Han Solo, who is identified with Harrison Ford, was one of Disney’s biggest mistakes. Lucasfilm’s president, Kathleen Kennedy, seems to have come down the same path, albeit belatedly. Lucasfilm officials also stated that they will avoid trilogies as much as possible in the new era Star Wars films.
When asked about Kennedy, Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover, who talked about Star Wars movies during Vanity Fair, becoming the new era Han Solos and Lando; “There are moments in life where you learn something. We see clearly now that we will not do this any more.” He stated that they found the right way. Only Ewan McGregor’s 1999 selection as Obi-Wan Kenobi can remain, but other than that, please don’t bring new customs to the old village.
Disney’s new Star Wars series The Acolyte, which is still dealing with interim series for the time being, will apparently not include old characters. Acolyte, which will be about a Jedi period of about 100 years before The Phantom Manace, will not take us a barley length.
