Australian company Lumi Interactive has reported raising $6.75 million from its investment round to support the development of its upcoming mobile game Kinder World.
The tour was led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) with participation from 1UP Ventures, Galileo Ventures, Eric Seufert’s Heracles Capital and Double Loop Games CEO Emily Greer.
With the funds raised, Lumi will seek to expand his team as well as expand Kinder World ahead of a global launch later this year.
James Gwertzman, general partner at a16z, who led the company’s investment in the studio, added: “Lumi is stepping into a fast-growing category of its own and much needed in its own right.”
