Electronic Arts Madden announced the newest game in the NFL series, Madden NFL 22. The PC version of the game, which will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series, will be the same as the older generation console version and will not include next-generation features. This year’s cover stars are Tom Brady and Patrick Mahome.
EA did the same thing in FIFA 21. It’s impossible to understand why they’re taking such an approach, pc gamers are both deprived of the next generation of features and, graphically, lag behind ps5 and Xbox Series. However, the PC version can easily remove the features of these versions.
Madden NFL 22’s press release states:
“Dynamic Gameday, Gameday Atmosphere, Gameday Momentum, Next Gen Stats Star-Driven AI, Home Field Advantage, and Star-Driven AI are only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S;”
So we can also consider it ridiculous that the feature that even xbox series S is not on PC.
Their excuse in FIFA 21 was not to raise PC system requirements, probably the same excuse applies.
