According to data shared by SteamDB, the number of simultaneous players, which normally hovers around 500 to 600, reached 10,224 during the free weekend event. It is possible to say that the game has not seen such a high number of players in a long time. I mean, Square Enix seems to have reached its destination.
But of course, what matters is how much of these players can be retained. At the time of its release, it had over 30,000 simultaneous players on Steam, but then lost a large number of them.
