The original Avengers team was retiring with the film Endgame. Marvel Studios, which is undergoing a successor/predecessor process for all characters except Thor, will take a different path for iron man/tony stark, the darling of a time. Riri Williams, known as Ironheart in the comics, will be brought into the universe from a new armored genius quota, and the MCU will also explore the Stark legacy with the Series Armor Wars. Directors from ironheart have also been announced. Starring Dominique Thorne, the series will star Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes.
We’ve heard the name Sam Bailey before on Brown Girls. Angela Barnes directed shows such as Blindspotting and Atlanta. The series, based on the story of Riri Williams, a young genius and tech genius, will also be directly linked to the Black Panther universe. Riri’s MCU entry will even be in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which will be released next November. Although the show’s official release date has not yet been announced, it is very likely that ironheart will be released via Disney+ later this year.
