With two weeks left in June, PlayStation has released information and details of the previous month’s most downloaded PlayStation 5 games. Capcom’s survival-horror game Resident Evil Village was among the most downloaded titles in America and PlayStation Store Europe.
The popularity of Resident Evil Village should come as no surprise to most players, given how eagerly awaited the game’s launch. Capcom raised expectations from the Resident Evil series by promoting through a variety of online and offline marketing campaigns.
Fans will most likely remember lady Dimitrescu’s life-size stands seen in retail stores for life. All this resulted in Resident Evil Village selling more than 3 million copies.
In a recent post on the PlayStation blog, the company showcased the 20 most downloaded PlayStation 5 games for May 2021.
The shared image shows Resident Evil Village being the most downloaded PlayStation 5 game in both regions. With game sales increasing and the growth of the community, RE Village has once again topped the UK boxed sales lists.
