Publisher Dear Villagers and developer Retro Forge Games have postponed the 2D pixel-art Metroidvania game Souldiers from its previously scheduled May 19 release date to June 2. The game will debut for PC on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and Steam.
Retro Forge creative director Alberto Hernández said in a press release about the postponement: “We are very pleased with the way Souldiers are going in general. But we still have a few mistakes to solve. We can’t put the game on the market like this and we want to earn the money that the players have brought us. Our goal is to provide you with an accurate entertainment experience. We know how awful it is to wait so long for a game. But it’s definitely worth waiting for. Thank you for your patience.”
