Publisher Microids and developer Pastagames announced Arkanoid: Eternal Battle in partnership with Taito. The game will debut in 2022. It was not disclosed which platforms it would debut on.
Arkanoid is an iconic arcade game developed by TAITO Corporation in 1986. When the mothership Arkanoid is attacked, the small spacecraft Vaus manages to escape. But it leads to another dimension. Wandering through an interdimensional labyrinth, Vaus must destroy blocks called “space walls” to defeat the labyrinth’s creator, “DOH.”
In Arkanoid: Eternal Battle, players will experience and discover a completely modernized version of the classic block breaking game. Arkanoid: Eternal Battle will have single, multiplayer modes that will be detailed at a later date. There will be classic elements as well as new effects, bonuses and features that guarantee to surprise experienced players.
