As of this week, Microsoft has begun testing Dolby Vision support on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles.
It is currently available to Xbox Insider members. It will be available to all users with a future system software update.
Dolby Vision is a form of HDR. With its brightness, contrast, color and depth, it goes beyond traditional HDR, providing a more vivid and realistic image in games.
To take advantage of this, you need a Dolby Vision-powered display. To find out if your screen is compatible with Dolby Vision, check out Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & Display Settings > 4K TV Settings.
Dolby said it is working closely with TV manufacturers to make Dolby Vision support flawless and automated in games. Which games make the most of Dolby Vision will also be shared soon.
