Microsoft recently struck a deal to buy Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion. That deal could reportedly be approved by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) next month.
Microsoft has sent the requested documents to the FTC, and now the U.S. government agency has 30 days to approve them. If no further details are requested during this process, the purchase will be automatically confirmed, according to Real Mi Central.
In May, Microsoft President and Vice President Brad Smith said he knew how big the Activision Blizzard acquisition deal was. So they will act quickly, and now the middle stages of the agreement have been reached, he said.
Smith added: “We are moving fast. At least we’re being agile for a purchase of this size. In this process, we receive various information from Brussels, London and Washington. We answer questions, give briefings and provide the requested information to the other party.”
