It would not be wrong to say that artificial intelligence systems have a close relationship with the game world. Especially Google’s DeepMind system and OpenAI, which we will talk about today, have been guests of our site with different topics before. But today, we take a closer look at the new performance of artificial intelligence called OpenAI.
In the video shared from OpenAI’s official Twitter account, we witness the artificial intelligence system’s Minecraft gameplay. Fed by 70,000 hours of YouTube video, the system can comfortably surpass a standard Minecraft startup thanks to machine learning. It even manages to reach the diamonds in just 4 minutes.
We can see that the system is proceeding with traditional steps. Artificial intelligence, which first collects trees, makes processed boards from these trees. Then, the system, which produces a crafting table, soon dives to the bottom of the ground and starts to collect different mines. The system, which processes iron and even produces iron materials, makes a diamond pickaxe to itself when it reaches the diamonds and stops the process.
It better not evolve slowly towards Skynet…
