A job advert on the Call of Duty website opened today, officially revealing that the series is working on the mobile version of the battle royale game Call of Duty Warzone . The existence of this version was first claimed by Youtuber Tom Henderson last year, but has not been officially confirmed.
Warzone mobile version has been in work since 2021
Launched as “a brand new AAA mobile experience that will deliver the exciting, fluid and large-scale action of Call of Duty: Warzone to gamers,” the ad announced that it will be available in a variety of positions, such as network software developers, user interface designers, and product manager. Beenox, Activision Shanghai and Digital Legends, which were acquired by Activision last year following the ad’s emergence, have also confirmed that they are working on the new Call of Duty mobile game throughout 2021. Last August, Activision confirmed the establishment of a built-in mobile game development studio called Solid State, which was set up to develop a new game for the Call of Duty series. The release date of the mobile version, which has been felt and finally officialized for a long time with various details, is not yet clear.
Activision launched Call of Duty Warzone in March 2020. According to data shared by the publisher, the game has reached more than 100 million players on consoles and PC.
