Gamescom 2021 will kick off with the Opening Night Live Show on Wednesday, August 25. Geoff Keighley produced and hosted the show, which will see over 30 plays.
The Opening Night Live Show will start at 20:30 Turkish time, with a thirty-minute pre-show event followed by a two-hour main event.
“Players can expect new game announcements, updates on the most anticipated games, surprises and more,” says Keighley.
It seems a little hard to get above the pre-E3 show, of course, there was a Elden Ring fact there. But considering Geoff Keighley posted a picture of himself with Kojima today, it’s not that we didn’t wonder if there would be a special announcement from Kojima on this show.
The Opening Night Show in 2020 had two million viewers simultaneously, and is expected to surpass that number this year. Keighley will be joined by GameStar’s Natascha Becker as host of the show.
