Nordic Game, held for the nineteenth time this year, is one of the largest gaming conferences in Europe and the only event focusing on the Scandinavian gaming industry. At the end of this event, there is also the Nordic Game Awards, and Mørkredd, one of the best games to leave the region, managed to win the grand prize, as expected.
Sponsored by Epic Games and Unreal Engine, the winners are a jury of industry pay-per-on names from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Accordingly, Mørkredd won the Nordic Game of the Year award, beating out crusader Kings III, Teardown, Noita and Deep Rock Galactic. Mørkredd also won the Awards for Best Visual Management and Best Game Design.
The Best Technology award went to Teardown; the Best Sound Award went to Amnesia: Rebirth, while Deep Rock Galactic was named Best Debut Game.
The award for Best European Game was won by Ori and the Will of the Wisps, which beat the nominees for Cyberpunk 2077, Knights and Bikes, Factorio and Dreams.
