We left behind the third day of Netflix’s Geeked event, which was special for the geek community. This time, we were presented with a wide presentation of the animations that Netflix will offer to its customers in the future. After series and movies, plenty of animation is waiting for us under the roof of Netflix in the near future. New productions for Netflix After School, which covers Netflix’s content especially for children, and the first announcements from the new seasons of the existing series appeared on the third day of Geeked.
While my Geeked event is in full swing, tonight’s content will focus entirely on Stranger Things. The last and perhaps the most stunning presentation of the night came from the brand new Cyberpunk animation. The release of not one, but two videos from the series, which we will watch under Netflix in partnership with CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger, also responded to the fans’ wait. Though, if we think about the impression created by CD Projekt Red with the Cyberpunk game, not only this series, but even if a movie starring Keanu Reeves is shot, the nerves of the fans may not be completely exceeded. However, the producers are quite ambitious this time. The Edgerunners series, which will tell the story of a boy trying to survive in Night City, will consist of 10 episodes.

Explaining that they have been working on the Cyberpunk game for many years, the authorities have been working feverishly for this animation since 2018. The Polish company, which will bring the project to life together with Japan-based animation studio Trigger, still does not fully trust. Rafa Jaki, one of the producers of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, will serve as the executive director of this series. Masahiko Otsuka, who recently made an episode in Star Wars: Visions, is one of the names in the team that will carry Edgerunners to the screen. The music of the series was composed by Akira Yamaoka, who also composed the music for the Slient Hill series. The release of Edgerunners, which will be released next September, will hopefully not share the same fate as the game.
