Major entertainment companies such as Disney and Warner Bros have stopped streaming in Russia, while netflix, another streaming service, has decided to shut down its services altogest. Following Russia’s attempt to invade Ukraine, many large companies are ending their work in Russia.
A Netflix spokesman said: “We have taken into account the current conditions in Russia. As a result, we have decided to suspend our service here.”
Netflix debuted in Russia in 2016. The platform has about one million subscribers. Before stopping its services, Netflix was working on four Russian productions, including a crime thriller directed by Dasha Zhuk.
