Netflix, which has multiple game adaptations in its content, seems to have smelled the blood in the water. The blockbuster platform with The Witcher received positive reviews for Castlevania and Dota: Dragon;s Blood. But it seems Netflix doesn’t want to settle for game world adaptations.
According to sources close to the matter, the platform intends to enter the world of video games. Netflix, which is said to be in talks with experienced figures in the industry, can build its own game studio and produce the games of its series.
Netflix’s response to our techradar colleagues asking about these allegations is astonishing. Underlining that Netflix users care about “diversity and quality,” the statement also said that interactive content such as Bandersnatch and games adapted from original series make users happy. At the end of the statement, the note said that “we are excited about the projects we will do within the entertainment sector in the future”.
As you know, Netflix has signed some studios to play their own series. Among these games, the most notable was Stranger Things 3: The Game.
