Streaming service and production company Netflix also wants to gain a place in the video game industry.
Netflix is looking for an executive to lead its own video game initiative and is looking for experienced members of the gaming industry, The Informationreported. An Apple Arcade-style gaming service is said to be planned.
In a statement to GameSpot,a Netflix spokesperson said they are excited to do more in the field of interactive entertainment.
Netflix has made some breakthroughs with games before. In partnership with BonusXP, Stranger Things 3: The Game was released and Minecraft: Story Mode, developed by Telltale Games, was brought to Netflix. Also Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and You etc. Interactive projects such as Wild were made.
