Blizzard, which has been in turmoil since July, had many senior figures (including J. Allen Brack, one of the firm’s top brass), left the firm. One of the people who resigned on the same day as jesse mccree, a longtime World Of Warcraft executive producer, was Luis Barriga, executive producer of Diablo 4. Blizzard announced earlier in the day that the new Diablo 4 directoris Joe Shely, who has worked at the company since 2005.
Diablo 4 executive producer changed
In a written statement, Shely briefly addressed both the allegations against Blizzard and the construction process of Diablo 4:
“Like many of you, there have been some reactions within us following recent events. The harder we work to change things within the company, the harder we work to develop Diablo 4 in a healthy way.”
Joe Shely worked on both World Of Warcraft and Diablo 3. There is no hint yet of the release date of Diablo 4, but barriga, the game’s former director, stated last year that Diablo 4 is still in its early stages of production and that it will take a lot of time, a lot of time to make such a big game.
