The first expansion of the game was Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels and released in July 2022. As the name suggests, this published expansion included a new open world area with Hot Wheels toy series theme and included 10 new cars.

The expansion also worked to design, build and share their own Hot Wheels tracks with 80 types of pallets that players can choose from.
