A new game announcement has come from the Warframe producer: Soulframe. Yes, our new game will be called “Soulframe” and, according to producer Digial Extremes, will be a Far East-inspired open-world game “set in the parallel universe of Warframe.”
Unlike Warframe’s world full of robots and technology, themes of “nature, renewal and discovery” will be explored in a post-apocalyptic world.
New open world game from Warframe maker is coming
Soulframe, which will be free It’s inspired by productions like Princess Mononoke and The NeverEndingStory. The production studio will use these similarities to create a universe in which “industry and nature intertwine, and the world and the land are not happy with it at all.” The game’s creative director, Geoff Crookes, explained:
“The idea behind Soulframe is that the world is a little frustrated by what’s being done to it. The structures under the ground will change throughout the day. Thus, the underworld of the game such as caves etc. will be constantly renewed.”
The production company Digital Extremes emphasizes that the game, which they are still in the production stage at a very early stage, will be a co-op-oriented PVE (Player versus environment) game, as in Warframe. He also stated that Soulframe will be a fantastic game, so Warframe will stand out from the world of science fiction. Therefore, the game, unlike Warframe, will be focused on close combat.
The release date and platforms of the game are not yet clear. However, Digital Extremes has stated that “a version” of the game could be ready within a year.
