Thanks to a major free update from Hello Games for No Man’s Sky, the galaxy will soon become much more beautiful. The new Prisms update will overhaul almost every aspect of No Man’s Sky visuals.
Highlights will include new weather effects, a sky glowing with the light of thousands of stars and rideable insects, worms and butterflies. Hello Games will also introduce new hyperdrive and exotic caves to players with this patch.
This new update is no Man’s Skies’ third major update in 2021, following Companions in February and Expeditions in April. The new patch is mostly intended to harness the power of Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles.
With detailed reflections, lighting improvements and other enhancements, the team wants to take advantage of the power of the next generation of consoles first. PC gamers will also be able to benefit from DLSS and improved frame rates.
