Nintendo continues to offer new details about the shooter game Splatoon 3, which will debut later this year. The team recently introduced some new weapons, multiplayer customization features and more for the game. Now, it has announced a new map that will be included in the game: Undertow Spillway.
The map, called Undertow Spillway, is located deep in Splatsville. The Undertow Spillway area was abandoned for a long time. But after it was restored, it regained popularity. Nintendo also shared a short video offering a glimpse into the underground interiors.
In Splatoon 3, players will leave Inkopolis for a new region, the Splatlands. This area is home to a new city called Splatsville, known as the city of chaos, where war-loving Inklings and Octolings gather together. The sequel will include new weapons, maps, customizations, moves, abilities, and more.
The first game of the Splatoon series debuted for the Wii you in May 2015 and the second game for the Switch in July 2017.
Splatoon 3 will debut for the Switch on September 9.
