It’s been a while since the announcement of the new Mass Effect and Dragon Age games. So much so that last year, the next generation presentation of EA Games even provided concrete information about the games, but we did not encounter any other visuals rather than graphics engine tests and some artistic work. Considering this intervening time, I can say that our expectations for this year’s EA Play event have skyrocketed. Until today…
New Mass Effect and Dragon Age games won’t be available on EA Play
Bioware, which produced both games, issued a statement saying it had sprayed lemons on our excitement. The new Mass Effect and Dragon Age games will unfortunately not be featured in EA Play, according to the company’s official account. The statement said: “We are not going to be able to do this. “We’re working really hard to develop the next Dragon Age and Mass Effect games, and exciting things are coming for Star Wars The Old Republic this year. Although we won’t show anything on EA Play Live, don’t forget to check out SWTOR Livestream today at 12PM PT for information on what will happen!”
Yes, as you may have seen, the EA Play event will not feature an important company like Bioware. We think that the disruptions in the development process and the departure of important figures working in both games from the company probably played a big part in this. Let’s also remember that the EA Play event will be held on July 22.
