New PS5 update only addresses performance
According to patch notes on the console, version 21.01-03.10.00 focuses on nothing but improvements in system performance. However, this does not mean that there are no studies on solutions to problems experienced by users, such as disk rotation sound. Although they work on companies until a final and concrete solution is produced, they can choose not to mention these problems in their patch notes.
As you know, the first major PS5 update was released on April 14th and brought many features. These included innovations that allowed you to upload PS5 games to external drives and save system storage, as well as allow you to share your games with PS4 users thanks to the “Share Play” system. This feature supports cross-platforming and is available to both PS5 and PS4 users.
There were also a number of improvements to the console that were not included in the patch notes in the last update. VGC’s patch notes also introduced new visual options for 1080p/120Hz monitors while making improvements in areas such as accessibility and control center. However, they also described the ability to turn off HDR in non-HDR games in their patch notes.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony’s Hideako Nishino suggested that the full update would include more additions. “We only outline the many updates and improvements we have made to PS5, PS4 and PS App, so take a look at them and let us know what you think,” he wrote.
