The fifth season of The Overwatch League is now less than two months away. This season will also be the season where we will see Overwatch 2, which is also an important season in that respect.
But Activision Blizzard has yet to find a sponsor for this season. The league’s main sponsors with withered blizzard after last year’s lawsuits because they didn’t want their names to be mentioned in such a scandal. These names included brands such as Coca Cola, State Farm, Kellogg;s.
Like last season’s sponsor and philadelphia fusion team, Comcast has said it is not considering sponsoring the league this season. T-Mobile, one of last year’s sponsors, has yet to comment.
Overwatch League president Sean Miller says they are in talks with potential sponsors, but there are no concrete names yet.
Overwatch 2 will convert the game to a 5;e 5 format. We’ll see how teams adapt to it in the new season if it’s not cancelled.
