Team17 announced that Thymesia, a soulslike action role-playing game developed by the seven-man Taiwanese OverBorder Studio team, would be released in 2021 under the Team17 standalone games brand, but that goal was not met. The exact release date of the game, which was tentatively postponed, has finally been set. The date we’re going to write down on our calendars is August 9th.
OverBorder Studio also released a new trailer to celebrate its release date announcement.
The story of the game revolves around a mysterious character named Corvus, who can steal the diseases of enemies and use them as weapons against them. Corvus also has a memory problem, and we’ll try to bring back his memories throughout the game.
A kingdom that once grew and flourished under the power of alchemy is entering an age of disaster. Efforts to stop the use of alchemy after discovering the power behind alchemy are backfiring. In just a few days, the kingdom is plunged into chaos and the streets are filled with monsters.
Corvus has the key to understanding all this, but he’s lost his memory. The truth can only be found in his memoirs, but every time Corvus dives into the past, all he finds is more secrets.
The main features of the game are as follows:
Rein in the Plague: Take this disease from ruthless enemies and use it as a weapon. Shoot monsters with your own weapon. It’s the only way to survive in this uninhabited kingdom.
Embrace the Raven: Turn into a raven during the war. Throw your feathers like a dagger and finish the enemy’s work with a predatory agility.
Fight In Your Own Way: Upgrade and improve your basic movements and plague weapons. Create your own style of play and prepare for the challenges that await you.
Shattered Memories: Get your memories back in adventures. You will reach different endings with the different choices you make and the items you collect. Put your own truth together.
