South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are working on a new South Park game. This game will be a “3D video game” and, unlike The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole, will not be released from Ubisoft’s hands. This new unnamed play will be developed by Stone and Parker’s own internal studios.
The Stick of Truth (2014) and The Fractured but Whole (2017) were developed in collaboration with Ubisoft, and even under the first game was signed by Obsidian.
The first two games were touted as a South Park game, but for this new game, it’s just “set in the world of South Park.” Which raises the question of whether this new play will be about different characters.
As a result, south park’s $900 million ViacomCBS deal not only won approval until season 30, but also for 14 films that would “expand the existing world.” This new play is also about the “expanded cinematic universe”; can be a member.
