The new game in the TimeSplitters series is coming.
Publisher Deep Silver announced that developer studio Free Radical Design has been re-established under the same name, along with some key members of the original team, including Steve Ellis and David Doak.
Development of the new game will begin in the coming months.
Steve Ellis said in a statement, “It’s incredible to finally confirm that the studio has been set up and that we have a plan for the next TimeSplitters game. We can’t say anything more at this time, but we look forward to sharing information in the future,” he said.
Free Radical Design’s FPS game series TimeSplitters debuted in 2000, the sequel was released in 2002, and the third game, TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, was released in 2005. TimeSplitters 4 was also developed but cancelled.
