Icarus, which also announced a release date along with a new gameplay video at E3 2021, is signed by Dean Hall, one of the producers of DayZ. The game, which we saw in the PC Game Show event, was announced by its distributor RocketWerkz on August 12, 2021. The biggest change to the game was the pricing policy. Icarus’ payment plan, which was announced to be completely free at the time of its announced date, was changed and its free decision was abandoned.
DayZ producer’s play Icarus will be released on August 12
The normal price of the game is set at 50 TL. Currently, it is available at a discount on Steam for 45 TL. Dean Hall’s statement regarding the pricing of the game, which also provides solo or co-op opportunities for up to 8 people, was as follows: “We didn’t want the business model to get in the way of the gaming experience. We have also heard loudly and clearly from our community that they want to avoid the pitfalls of playing for free. We want Icarus to constantly evolve as a live game, always adding new session challenges and game modes. We think regular episodes and content updates are a great way to achieve this.”
PVE and survival-type Icarus will drop players off on an alien planet where they can explore and build the surroundings. Check out the game’s E3 video below.
