Amazon’s huge multiplayer role-playing game New World, long awaited by a large audience of players, reached more than 600,000 simultaneous players worldwide on the day of its release, topping the Steam charts. The game, which has attracted a great influx of players, continues to suffer from a serious server shortage.
New World reaches 600,000 simultaneous players on day one
With 475,206 players instantly, the game is just below CS:GO, which stands at 641,255. New World, which has reached the most 707,230 simultaneous players today, seems to be a huge success for Amazon (if the server issues are resolved, of course). The production, which has outswing the likes of Dota 2, PUBG and Apex Legends, is currently one of Steam’s most popular games.
Some servers in the game take too long to queue, players report, and they have to wait hours to get into the game. As strange as it is that one of the world’s largest companies, such as Amazon, is experiencing this kind of server problem, some players join queues of more than 15,000 people to get into the game. Currently, it has 21,775 reviews on Steam and only a 52% positive review percentage.
