WWE and 2K Games have released a massive total of 168 new and old WWE stars, but post-launch DLC packs show us how rich WWE 2K22 can be. A total of five packages will reportedly arrive, starting with the Banzai Pack on April 26th, in which they can add five to seven wrestlers in each pack.
’90s legend Yokozuna comes with Banzai Pack
As the name of the WWE 2K22 new DLC pack suggests, the most important addition to this pack is the legendary Yokozuna. 2K Games wants to show players what the legendary wrestling stars of the 90s will look like in the game.
WWE 2K22 is the ninth game in 2K Games as part of its long-standing partnership with WWE and the last game to be released after WWE 2K20, which received poor marks from fans. The production has the largest and largest (out) playable champion roster in WWE history.
It will have a legendary all-star content, the widest roster with today’s stars and wrestlers to be added with new DLC. In addition, with MyGM joining the renamed Career Mode and 2K Showcase options as MyRISE, general manager mode is back again.
Prior to the release of the Banzai Pack, 2K Games posted a screenshot from the game’s official Twitter account and previewed Yokozuna. The image features Samoan wrestling icon Yokozuna in her famous squared kimono for Wrestlemania 9.
The two-time WWE champion was considered one of the greatest in history by the wrestling community during his time in WWE from 1992 to 1994. Yokozuna was one of the biggest heels in wwe. Hulk Hogan, a legend of that era, rose to fame by beating the likes of The Undertaker, Bret Hart and Lex Luger. But he struggled for years to control the damage he had done to his body because of his advancing weight, but died on October 23, 2000, at the age of 34.
Yokozuna is not the only Samoan star to be recruited, the Banzai Pack will also include Rikishi and Umaga, members of the famous Anoa family such as Yokozuna. Dwayne Johnson, Roman Reigns and some names to add to The Usos.
