We look forward to Obsidian’s new play Avowed, one of today’s most valuable role-playing game developers. From Windows Central Jez Corden wrote a special article about the game and shared information from its sources, so we learned new information about the game.
Avowed will be a role-playing game that will allow for different classes of gameplay and will allow for two-handed fighting. Which means we can wear two-handed weapons, even a gun in one hand, and magic in the other. If you remember the teaser trailer for the game, we had a magic sword in our right hand and a different spell on our left. Those who have seen the game say that the magic in the game is exactly the same as the trailer, so what we’re watching isn’t a specially crafted CGI.
What’s more, some spells will also require using both hands, for example, when performing Fireball magic we will perform complex magic movements in which we use both hands.
Weapons in the game will be enhanced by magic, as well as various firearms will be available in the game, as in Pillars of Eternity (after all, both games are set in the same universe).
According to Avowed Skyrim, it will be a much more colorful game, and swimming will also be possible.
I personally didn’t like analogies like “The Outer Worlds meets Pillars of Eternity” for the lone game because I think The Outer Worlds is a failed game from a pure RYO point of view, and I didn’t like the combat system anyway. So just keep obsidian The Outer Worlds genre with The Outer Worlds 2, Avowed will hopefully be a game that will sound like medicine to role-playing game lovers, fans of successful games like Pillars of Eternity.
