We are delighted to start 2022 by introducing PS5’s next generation virtual reality system PlayStation VR2 and the new VR controller PlayStation VR2 Sense.

Taking VR games to a very different level, PlayStation VR2 now brings players into the gaming world in such a realistic way for the first time with its sense of reality. In the world of creative gaming signed by world-class game developers; Players who wear glasses and pick up controllers will experience a feeling they’ve never experienced before with the new technology.
Built on the innovations of PS5, PlayStation VR2 delivers a whole new generation of gaming experiences with new sensory features, advanced tracking technology and realistic graphics with a single-cable easy setup.

Realistic graphics: PS VR2 offers a high-quality graphics experience with 4K HDR, 110-degree field of view and foveated rendering. Players can access 2000×2040 resolution at 90/120 Hz frame rate with OLED display.

Controller monitoring: PS VR2 monitors the player and controllers through the cameras integrated into it. This also reflects the directions and movements you look at without the need for a camera.

New sensory properties: Combining eye tracking, eyeglass feedback, 3D Audio and the innovative PS VR2 Sense controller, PS VR2 Sense technology brings the player into an incredible experience. Eyeglass feedback increases the feeling in the player’s in-game behavior. Created by a single engine, it adds a smart tactile element, bringing players closer to the gaming experience. For example, the player can feel the rising pulse of his character in a tense moment, an object that passes over his head quickly, or the acceleration of a vehicle as he moves at speed. In addition, PS5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech audio engine supports the experience by recreating the sounds surrounding the player.

Eye tracking: PS VR2 eye tracking detects the movement of your eyes, allowing your game character to look at this point when you look in a simple direction. This feature allows players to engage more intuitively, offering a new level of gaming experience with the realistic and emotional experience it suggests.

All the new developments in PlayStation VR2, coupled with the tactile feedback and adaptive trigger keys of the PS VR2 Sense controller, allow players to interact with games much more realistically. You’ll have direct access to the VR experience with the simple setup process of PS VR2, which can be connected to PS5 with just one cable.

We are also pleased to announce that Horizon Call of the Mountain from Guerilla and Firesprite, one of playStation’s largest and most exclusive series, will come to PS VR2. Specifically designed for PS VR2, this game will allow gamers to dig deeper into the Horizon world.
