In the original version of the game, you had to be as close as 40 meters to this area to interact with any PokeStop or Gym. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the developer had increased this distance to 80 meters for some time. With the gradual departure of the pandemic, Niantic aimed to restore this distance. Niantic announced that it was consideringa petition involving tens of thousands of players and that the distance would now remain 80 meters. New details about this update, which will be effective from today, will only be available next week.
