Square Enix finally released a patch for the Steam version of NieR Automata four years later. The revelation that the game’s version of game on Game Pass was different and hassle-free than steam received a serious response, so Square Enix announced that it would not be able to patch the Steam version. We waited a few months after this announcement, but as of yesterday, this patch, which is 14.3 GB, has been released.
With the patch, several graphics settings were added to the game, as well as performance-related issues were solved (or rather, Square Enix claims this, we will see the test results soon), and Denuvo copy protection was also removed, although it was not previously specified.
The removal of Denuvo will also have a positive impact on the performance of the game. And if random crashes are solved, then finally the owners of NieR Automata on Steam will be able to enjoy this beautiful game without bothering them.
You can access the game’s Steam page here.
