Square Enix released its first patch for the PC version of NieR Automata yesterday. In addition to all changes, improvements and fine-tuning, this patch also removed Denuvo protection technology. NieR Automata’s Steam Patch is 14.3 GB in size and available for download. Square Enix said several stability fixes have also been implemented. The removal of denuvo protection is said to be aimed at improving stability.

– Added borderless video adjustment feature.
– Fidelity FX CAS feature added.
– The system will now detect whether HDR is enabled in Windows display settings.
– Various fine-tuning features have been adjusted to the anti-aliasing feature.
– Items such as icons, backgrounds, user interface now support 4K resolutions.
– Bitrade improved and all prebuilt intermediate scenes improved. A performance of 60 FPS will now be taken.
– Three different settings have been introduced for Global Illumination: High, medium and low.
– Frame rate fixed at 60 FPS in default settings.
– Other corrections related to stability have been applied.
