Nintendo has joined the ranks of companies making moves to halt sales in Russia due to the ongoing occupation of Ukraine. Following the suspension of payments in rubles, the Russian Nintendo eShop was put into “maintenance mode”.
A post on the Russian Nintendo website reads: “Due to the suspension of payments in rubles used in the Nintendo eShop, the Nintendo eShop in Russia has been temporarily put into maintenance mode. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will share with you new updates on this situation.”
On the other hand, CD Projekt Red suspended all sales of digital and physical games in Russia and Belarus due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
