Nintendo Switch continues to deliver one of the greatest console sales performances of all time, dear Gamers. Nintendo announced that it had reached 92.87 million sales as of September 30, 2021, and today we received a new announcement and we learned that 10 million more have been sold in the past 3 months.
As of December 31, 2021, the Nintendo Switch sold 103.54 million, surpassing a significant threshold.
Among consoles reaching 100 million, the Switch performed better than the PS4 and Wii, outperforming the Wii (101.63 million) and PS1 (102.49 million) with all-time sales figures.
Accordingly, sales according to consoles are as follows:
- Nintendo Switch Original: 81.68 million
- Nintendo Switch Lite: 17.87 million
- Nintendo Switch OLED: 3.99 million
Another number as impressive as this is on the software side. Total sales of Switch games were 766.41 million.
The top three games are:
- Mario Kart 8: 43.35 million
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons: 37.62 million
- Super Mario Odyssey: 23.02 million
