Nintendo also announced that the new dock, which comes with the Switch OLED, will be sold separately from the Nintendo store. The only difference with this new dock is that it has an ethernet port, but surely there will be players who will buy this new dock even for this feature only.
Thanks to this ethernet port, you will be able to connect your Switch to the internet via cable, thus saying goodbye to download speed issues caused by wireless connectivity.
“White and black docks will be sold separately, HDMI wireless, AC adapterless, boxless. These will not be sold in normal stores.” Nintendo hasn’t priced in this new dock, but you can guess if the original Switch dock costs $60.
The available Switch consoles are, of course, 100% compatible with this new OLED dock. Thus, it will be possible to connect two separate docks and two separate televisions.
