Developer Hello Games has announced the future of No Man’s Sky’s PlayStation VR2 platform.
The team reported on the new release: “In 2019, we made the decision to build the game from the ground up for the original PlayStation VR. However, we faced great obstacles.
Accordingly, the cockpits and control systems of starships – land vehicles were rebuilt. Menu systems and interfaces have been redesigned. Lighting controls, terrain systems, effects and more have been overhauled. Every change has been made to deliver a superior gaming experience.
It was really amazing to experience No Man’s Sky on PlayStation VR. It was really hard to transfer a futuristic and open-world-based game to a virtual reality headset. That was one of the technical problems we faced. A few years later, technology has taken a big step forward, and now we’ve rolled up our sleeves to connect players with the experience.
Combined with the power of PlayStation 5, new Sense controllers and all-new PlayStation VR2 hardware, we’re confident that this game will give you an immersive and realistic experience.
We’ll be providing more details for the PlayStation VR2 version of No Man’s Sky in the coming months.
