FIFA 21 players will now be able to see what’s inside before purchasing a loot box. Added with the game’s Festival of FUTball event, you can see the contents of packages called “Ultimate Team Preview Packs” from the game’s FUT Shop.
After seeing the contents of the box accompanied by the box opening animation, you can decide whether to buy it with FUT Coin or FIFA Point.
If you decide not to take the package, the contents of that box remain visible for a while. When the time expires, you can move to another box and look at its contents. The only package offered throughout this event is Ultimate Team Preview Packs, but EA has indicated that other types of packages will return in the future. We will see if this feature will be offered in the new packages.
This change in FUT and loot boxes, EA’s largest source of revenue, will surely have an impact on this revenue, which is measured in billions of dollars.
