Publisher Microsoft and developer Obsidian Entertainment announced the first-person RPG game Avowed for Xbox Series X|S and PC in July 2020. Speaking on the World of Gaming podcast, Jez Corden of Windows Central said Avowed will probably debut in the first half of 2023.
Corden added of the game: “The game will be announced this year and will probably debut in the first or second quarter of 2023.
The Obsidian team is improving. All the recruitment and progress they’ve made is a sign that we’re going to see a stronger production than The Outer Worlds.”
Avowed is set in the Pillars of Eternity universe. Games developed by Obsidian Entertainment include Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Fallout: New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Pillars of Eternity and The Outer Worlds.
