Bandai Namco has released the official gameplay video of Digimon Survive, which will debut on July 29. In Bandai Namco’s words, Digimon Survive will “combine the visual novel storytelling style with tactical combat elements.”
In the released trailer, we also see how the choices in the dialogues affect the story:
Digimon Survive, a tactical turn-based JRPG, will feature more than 100 trainable Digimon, and this time they’ve adopted a slightly more mature visual style. Kazumasa Habu, the game’s producer, says that the story is darker, and that the target audience is adults who grew up with the series.
The story will have 12 chapters, and after the eighth chapter, the story will be divided into three different routes (Morality, Harmony, Rage). After these routes, you will be able to open a secret route. The total game time of the game, which will offer a gameplay time of about 40 hours per route, will be around 100 hours.
The game, which was announced in 2018, was announced to be released in 2019, and then it was sagged until this year with various postponements.
