For many years, Marvel’s locomotive character, Spider-Man, has been punished for its popularity over time! So much so that until the popular term Spider-Verse of recent times, we had already encountered tons of different versions of Spider-Man in comics. Of course, some variants were really interesting and managed to attract people with curiosity. While spider-man: Noir reading tasted very different, it was unlikely to go crazy during the Clone Saga and Identity Crisis periods. With not one but two new films on the horizon to dive deep into Spider-Verse, let’s take a look at some of the most bizarre Spider-Man versions history has ever seen. Let me also note that I did not set a criterion for “the most bizarre” when ranking, because there are no normal ones among these friends.
5-) In the Name of Enigma;Power: Cosmic Spider-Man
If the name Cosmic Spider-Man doesn’t ring a connotation, maybe the name Captain Universe sounds familiar from somewhere. That didn’t happen either? Then let’s explain this god, Peter Parker. Enigma Force, one of the most ancient forces in the Marvel Universe, dates back 14 billion years. You know, the Celestials that led to eternals, and that’s enigma force again. Peter Parker in the Earth-13 universe meets this power, resulting in Cosmic Spider-Man or Captain Universe because he’s too cool and powerful now.
With this incredible power, peter, whose spider skills peak, also has the physical strength to send hulk to the moon with a single punch. And marvel, every time it gets cosmic, there’s going to be substance and energy manipulation, so Earth-13 model Peter Parker has such bizarre abilities. I mean, he can throw hard nets and play with Magneto like a toy. We don’t consider him very active because it would not be acceptable for Spidey to be so powerful. It’s better that Peter Parker isn’t one of us who doesn’t bother paying rent anyway!
4-) I Chose You From The Clones: Scarlet Spider (Kaine Parker)
Marvel’s home universe, Earth-616, also had plenty of quirky versions of Spider-Man. We and Stan Lee knew what we saw, especially during the Clone Saga era. The weirdest Spider-Man version I’ve ever picked from this period is actually a clone. Kaine, better known as scarlet spider. I’d like to say his powers are shaped like his name, but his best friend is insects. No, not people like Gregor Samsa who have cockroaches overnight, flat bugs!
One of Jackal’s first clone attempts, Scarlet Spider, precends ben Reilly, the most famous Peter clone. He’s the real Scarlet Spider. Kaine has a rather wild build, and the most bizarre thing about him is that he has a psychic connection with all arthropods. You know how we’ve been making fun of Aquaman for years talking to fish? He also has a trait that inspires Sam Raimi. Kaine Parker can organically throw cobwebs off his wrists. I hope the MCU doesn’t want to see this and treat Tobey as scarlet spider, Kevin Feige, if you’re reading this place, there’s nothing for you here!
3-) A Hero Who Never Misses Lunch: Spider-UK
Most of Spider-Man’s characteristics are directly linked to his being a New York citizen. But on another side of the world, a very different culture has its own Spider-Man. When we turn our cameras to Great Britain, we see William Braddock. Clone Saga, the Braddock we met in the mid-2010s rather than the Identity Crsis era, is actually known as Captain Britain. (You’re very creative, Marvel, I’m sure there’s a Arabian Wolverine out there somewhere.) In fact, the original Captain Britain is a character that goes back even to the 1940s, but that’s not about our Spider-Verse. Let’s get back to our core.
Instead of being a novice Captain Britain, Billy says he’ll be a spider-UK, and in the Spider-Verse era Spider-Girl and Old Man Spider-Man (yes, there’s old Spidey, don’t be surprised) set out to save his father together. Billy, who also crosses paths with the most invading Spider-Man we call Spider-Army, then ends up with Web-Warriors at Earth-3015. Having learned the philosophy of being Spider-Man here, Spider-UK will hopefully not come to Earth-616 when it grows up. So many Spider-Man versions are too much even for me.
2-) Old Man Logan; After Old Age Fashion: Old Man Spider
If anyone watched Spider-Man The Animated Series, there was Vulture, peter parker; spidey became an old man when he absorbed his youth. This not-so-interesting situation immediately returned to its former state and was not remembered by anyone. So, by almost no one, during the Edge of Spider-Verse comic book, the writers came up with the idea of the Old Spider. In fact, this old age movement started with the old man logan comic book, which is still the most successful of all. Many characters, including Hawkeye, were then aged and incorporated into the universe with amazing aging techniques.
The Old Man Spider adventure, which began with Peter Parker taking the name Ezekiel Sims as Spider-man after morlun’s murder, didn’t last long. He was killed by Daemos in 2099. But even the emergence of such a concept was a worrying development for spider-man diversity. In Marvel, where no one is left dead except Uncle Ben, it seems highly likely that if the quota of the elder is opened one day, Ezekiel Sims will be resurrected. As long as he takes his blood pressure pills and doesn’t come back to Earth-616.
1-) Estetique A Name: Peter Parquagh
The idea of taking Marvel characters far beyond modern times is really nice. Especially if the great master Neil Gaiman is doing it, it’s an invincible job. I recommend the Marvel 1602 comic book, which is also published in Turkish in our country, to everyone. Well, spider-man, you can’t have a wedding without a camber, and you can’t have a Marvel. Once upon a time, there was a Scottish orphan living on the British Isle in 1602. Raised by his uncle Benjamin and his wife, Peter Parquagh’s life changed until the end of his visit to Sir Nicholas Fury, who knocked on his door on his birthday.
As in the 1602 comic book, it’s very interesting and faithful to the subject, but Marvel was quick to water it down. Parquagh, which we first saw in 2003, began to circulate in the universe under the name Of The Spider. So much so that I don’t know exactly what happened between them, but he died in the Guardians of the Galaxy comic book published in 2014. Did Neil Gaiman expect this to end when he created such a character? In Britain, where did the subject come from when he served Queen Elizabeth? Spider-Verse, Spider-Geddon, it was obvious that these quirks were going to happen, but you’re really amazed.
Bonus-) Spiders’ Favorite Peter Parker: Spiders-Man
I’ve talked about five weird Spider-Man versions so far, but I think this one’s really the last straw. You know, there are humorous characters like Spider-Ham and Spider-Monkey, but really? Earth-11580, another eccentric Marvel Universe, also had a Peter Parker. In fact, he was friends with Gwen and interested in science, just like our real Peter. But a tragic radioactive spider accident at horizon labs changed Peter’s whole life.
Isn’t the entrance familiar? What if the accident wasn’t a single spider bite, but a thousand spiders eating Peter Parker alive? It’s not over, what if these radioactive spiders had eaten Peter’s body with pleasure and become a collective consciousness, a hive mind? What if he’d put a Spider-Man mask on a body of millions of spiders and become a hero? That’s all come true, my dear Gamers. Spiders-Man, which I saw in Spider-Geddon in 2018 in a not-too-distant past, took my breath away then, and now it does! It scares me that this strange character, in which thousands of spiders have Peter Parker’s mind and memory, is still being drugged and killed. I don’t want to see Spiders-Man and start scratching all over me tomorrow when I turn the comic book page. Hello? I was going to file a report for the pest control center or Marvel HQ.
Yes, dear Gamers, enough of this bizarre Version of Spider-Man for now. In the ’90s, with Clone Saga and Identity Crisis, I thought I’d seen a lifetime of different Spider-Man variants. But Marvel brought out some weird stuff, like peter parker swore not to give him peace. In the 2010s, Spider-Verse produced spider-geddon and the most invasive Spider-Man. We’ve seen different formations like Spider-Army, Web-Warriors. But I, as a strange comic book reader, wanted to read peter chasing Rhino in New York, running away from Kraven, spanking kingpin’s big neck and making jokes.
I’m actually pretty nervous about this Spider-Verse furore going into the cinema, but we haven’t seen any such quirks yet, so hopefully Sony and Disney won’t turn to these weird friends when their ideas are over. Because there are tons of Spider-Xs here that I haven’t even mentioned, and I assure you, most nightmare fuels are of the kind.
