Gears 5’s developer studio, The Coalition, announced the arrival of the Operation 8 update on Tuesday (August 3rd) and all new content to be included in the game.
The Operation 8 update will add two new characters and a map to the game, similar to previous seasons. The new map will be Ritual, the site of ancient relics in the Hivebusters expansion pack. New playable characters will include Sergeant Bernadette “Bernie” Mataki on the COG side and Ketor Vrol on Locust.
With Operation 8, a new Mission series with special rewards, 10 new levels and 17 new achievements will come. Gears 5 Operation 8 will be released on all platforms on August 3rd and will feature a triple XP boost event from Friday 6 August to Monday 9 August.
