Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Appeal Studios announced Outcast 2: A New Beginning for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC (Steam). A release date has not been announced.
20 years after the award-winning action-adventure game Outcast pioneered a nonlinear open-world game genre, cutter Slade returns to Adelpha’s magnificent alien world in this long-awaited sequel. When he is resurrected by the great Yods, his Talans are enslaved, the world’s natural resources are exhausted, and its own past is intertwined with invasive robot forces. It’s up to him to go on a mission and save the planet again.
The original team behind Outcast 1 came together to create the extraordinary world, home of the Talans, an ancient culture full of dangerous creatures whose fates were inexorably connected to the world from the events of the first game. You’re going to play Cutter Slade, the former marine commando who continued to wit his intelligence in the ’90s, but the world around him has changed, and in the end, he’s going to change.
